For fourteen years we have been arranging folklore shows for our visitors, especially for those from foreign countries.

Let me introduce ourselves. The hall, where we arrange our shows, has been created for such occasions and can hold 200 visitors. Its conception reminds you of a traditional village green in South Bohemia with classical gables of houses whose lighted windows add to the premises an unusual character. An original band Kvetovanka in regional costumes and a dance ensemble called Kvety  include 10 musicians, 2 singers, 4-6 dancers and a hostess. As the first brass band in the Czech Republic, we started to cooperate and present shows for foreign tourists.

The show, which takes three hours, is divided into three parts and is hosted in world languages such as English, German, French, Russian, Spanish, Italian and Turkish.

In the first part, which takes about forty minutes, we play folk songs accompanied by folk dances  from all parts of our country, often imitating rural crafts. Visitors are welcome to join in dances, games or competitions. Everybody sings regardless their nationality.

Ve druhé části, trvající přibližně 35 minut, zavítáme do  Pražských hospůdek před více jak sto lety, do hospod našich prababiček a pradědečků  a ukážeme a naučíme hosty tance ze Staré Prahy. Original costumes come from the Slany region in Central
Bohemia.

In the second part, which takes about 35 minutes, we will take you to old Prague taverns in the time of our grandfathers and grandmothers. We will show you round and teach you dances from old Prague. You will also appreciate original, old Prague songs and dances in period costumes, including the can-can from1891. You will also experience the atmosphere of a Prague feast with the pub dance of the lads from Zizkov and, as a special treat, you will taste fresh wedding cakes and pies.

A menu is served during the whole show in accordance with the customers’ requirements. Our band Kvetovanka has produced 18 CDs, 46 programmes for the Czech TV and has been twice awarded the Golden Record.
